    • The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy Program-Chicago Christian High School is proud to offer students the opportunity to earn the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy, a prestigious recognition awarded to graduates who demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and another language. We believe developing biliteracy and bilingualism reflects our commitment to preparing students to serve God faithfully in a diverse and interconnected world. Students who meet the criteria may earn either the State Seal of Biliteracy (Intermediate High proficiency level) or the Commendation toward Biliteracy (Intermediate Low), both of which are officially recognized by the State of Illinois. Students at Chicago Christian High School demonstrate their language proficiency through the STAMP 4S assessment, a nationally recognized evaluation that measures reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The STAMP 4S provides an authentic measure of real-world language use and allows students to showcase their ability to communicate clearly and effectively in multiple settings. Students enrolled in Spanish 4 and AP Spanish courses have the opportunity to complete this assessment during instructional time, but any student may register to take the exam for Spanish or additional languages, regardless of enrollment in a language course. Earning the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy provides lasting academic, professional, and spiritual benefits. The Seal signals college and career readiness and may lead to college credit, advanced placement. or enhanced scholarship and employment opportunities.
